McGee Creek State Park offers water activities, hiking and fishing, as well as hunting in the adjacent McGee Creek Wildlife Management Area. The 2,600-acre park is the perfect place fish in one of Oklahoma’s best trophy lakes, the 3,350-acre McGee Creek Reservoir. The reservoir boasts an abundance of large and smallmouth bass, channel catfish, perch, crappie and sunfish.

FORT TOWSON
Fort Towson is a historical site that once served as the border between the US and Texas, which was part of Mexico at the time. It was established to create order in an otherwise lawless area of the frontier. While it was abandoned in 1856, it later became a Confederate headquarters in the Civil War and was the place that the last Confederate General, General Stand Watie, lay down arms.

The Nearby town of Hugo, OK was once known as Circus City, USA, as it used to act as the winter headquarters for two large circuses: Carson and Barnes and Kelly-Miller.
